Christmas Gifts and New Moreville Residents

Moreville continues to expand as more residents moved in over the Christmas Holiday. I'm not sure where everyone will live, but I suspect some will move out during 2014. Perhaps the grass is greener on the other side of Georgia -- or the U.S. -- or the world.

These two ladies are the newest fashionista dolls. They're not articulated at all and appear to be made of hard plastic. It's ok though. I love their faces, and they'll definitely get new bodies.

This is Ringmaster Tommy. He came to me from Marianne's (my roommate) son and daughter-in-law. He is so adorable; I just love him!

These little cutie pies came from my sister Deb. Looks like I'm going to have to build another school to accomodate all the new children that have moved in! LOL

She found this tree house as well.

The table flips up.

She even found a little froggy potty chair!

Peeta came to me from Marianne. You're right Vanessa - he is sexy! LOL

Here's a closer view. I think Cindi will snag him since Deb informed her that she wants Travis (Hunger Games Finnick doll). LOL

I realize these aren't doll-related, but for those of you that knit, I wanted to show off what Marianne made me for Christmas. I just love this hat! The yarn is so soft and warm.

Here's a side view.

She also made me a yarn bowl. I plan to use it to put little things in like Barbie accessories or jewelry.

Marianne probably won't appreciate this, but it can also double as a hat. Isn't it cool?

Side view. Thanks Marianne!

I'd say I cleaned up this year! I have no idea how it happened, but I guess I was a very good girl thoughout 2013.

Hope you all had an awesome Christmas, and may 2014 bring you great health, great joy and abundant prosperity! :-)

Christmas Eve Will Find Me...

Christmas Eve has finally arrived in Moreville. The weather has cleared, stores and businesses are closed, and all is quiet. Even though Casey's Tavern is closed, Casey is hosting a Christmas Eve party for some of his closest friends.

Looks like Casey has found a new friend.

Whereas Ryan and Anna Lee only have eyes for each other.

The alumni gang from Moreville High are here too.

Meanwhile, across town, the Lawson's are finishing up their Christmas preparations.

May all your wishes come true this Holiday Season and all throughout the coming year. Enjoy! :-)

Treasures From the Clarkesville Antique Mall

It was a cold and rainy day yesterday here in northeast Georgia. So my sister, Deb and I decided to go cruise the Clarkesville Antique Mall. I love that place. It has many booths with all sorts of cool stuff. Well, I scored big time! At one of the booths, I found some kiddie dolls wrapped in a plastic bag. Check these out:

Seven dolls for a grand total of $3.50. A couple of these will get new bodies since their feet appear to have been chewed on. What I was particularly excited about was that I got not just one, but TWO Tommy dolls! Now Katherine can have her son. LOL  And there are other Moreville residents that are thinking about having children as well.

I wasn't sure which doll this one was:

The stamp on her back says Mattel 1995. I'm thinking Skipper, and she's fully articulated. Her joints are very loose, so I guess she's been played with alot. Looks like Mattel did make fully articulated Skippers at one time and then stopped. I wish they'd start making them again.

She can even ride a horse.

Of course, she has to be perfectly balanced in order to stay on the horse otherwise she falls off. And I really do need to do something about her wild hair. I guess a boiling water treatment is in order.

All in all, Deb and I had a good day. She found a book; I found dolls. We each found something that we would enjoy. :-)

Happy Thanksgiving from Moreville

Thanksgiving is a few days away, and grocery stores are packed with people picking up all the last minute items they'll need for their turkey dinner. Faraway friends and family members are getting in their cars or boarding planes in order to be with those they love on this special day.

The holiday is celebrated in one of two ways:

There's the traditional way.

And then there's the not-so-traditional, perhaps more typical way.

I'm not saying that most folks wind up at the local pub, but some would probably like to when they feel stressed and overwhelmed. But in the end, the food always turns out good, and everyone winds up having a great time together.

This year I'm also thankful to all of you for your comments, compliments, encouragement and support of my blog, both publicly and privately. I couldn't have done it without you. Thank you so very much!

May your Thanksgiving day be filled with family, friends, food, fun and many blessings! :-)

Girl's Lunch at Bella Donna's

Turned out today was a perfect day for cruising the mall. Jada, her sister Adele, and their friends Gina and Serena decided to get a jump start on the Christmas shopping season. They decided to have lunch at Bella Donna's first so they would have plenty of energy to go bargain hunting.

And away they go, credit and debit cards in hand!

Here's a close-up of the two newest Moreville residents.  Adele (left) is the African American Holiday Barbie 2013. I fought with myself about buying her so close to Christmas, but I was afraid that if I waited until after the holidays, she would be sold out. So she jumped into my shopping cart and came home with me. LOL  Serena (right) is Miss Chile from the Dolls of the World collection. She, too, jumped into my cart. Looks like both were determined to move to Moreville! :-)
